How to Prevent Head Lice in Children

Getting rid of head lice can be challenging for parents, but prevention might be easier than expected. One effective method involves using tea tree oil in your daily routine.

Kim Wright, a mom, shared a helpful tip on Facebook as the back-to-school season approached. She recommends adding a few drops of tea tree oil to your children’s shampoo or making a diluted tea tree oil spray for their hair to prevent lice infestations.

Wright says this natural solution not only fights lice effectively but also deters mosquitoes. However, despite parents’ best efforts, some children may still get lice. In such cases, there are various successful methods for removal. Since lice can also affect adults, using the tea tree oil spray on yourself as a preventive measure can be very beneficial. Although lice infestations can be troublesome, these proactive steps can help keep your family lice-free.
