“As many of you know, my parents, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister Amber, brother-in-law Nathan, and our dear friends Melodi Hodges, Larry, and Melissa Haynie, were in a terrible plane crash on Friday,” Autumn shared.

She expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support, saying, “Thank you for the prayers that have already been said for me, my husband Jamie, our soon-to-be-born son, and Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. Your prayers, love, and support will help us get through the next few days. Thank you.”

Footage captured just before the crash shows Jason smiling and talking with his family and the pilot on a Nebraska runway. The plane, identified as a Pilatus PC-12/47E owned by Haynie Enterprises, crashed over Wyoming, sparking a wildfire as emergency crews rushed to the scene. Sadly, no one on board survived, as confirmed by the Wyoming sheriff’s office.

The National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the cause of the accident.

The Nelons, inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2016, are revered as one of the most influential families in U.S. gospel history. Their music, including hits like “I Shall Not Be Moved,” “Come Morning,” and “We Shall Wear a Robe and Crown,” has left a lasting legacy. The family was also nominated for three Grammy Awards during their celebrated career.
