Donald Trump’s Attempt to Kiss Melania at Inauguration Sparks Widespread Confusion

Donald Trump’s attempt to kiss his wife, Melania, during his inauguration today caught the public’s attention due to an intriguing detail about her clothing.

Outgoing President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris were present at the event, attending to formally receive their welcome into the festivities.

Trump’s family, including his five children and his wife, Melania, had already gathered to await his arrival. As he approached them, an unexpected moment unfolded.

The President-elect leaned in to kiss his wife, but his effort was thwarted by the wide-brimmed hat she was wearing, resulting in an awkward mishap.

One observer commented online, saying, “I just realized why Melania is wearing that wide-brimmed hat – it made it impossible for Trump to land his attempted kiss. Smart woman!”

Another remarked, “Trump attempting to kiss Melania, but the brim of her hat got in the way. That was strange.”

Melania’s black-and-white outfit, particularly her distinctive hat, had already sparked conversations online. Social media users drew comparisons to Beyoncé’s iconic outfit from the singer’s 2016 hit “Formation.”

The music video for the track, which appeared on Beyoncé’s Lemonade album, featured the artist wearing a wide-brimmed black hat that obscured much of her face, much like Melania’s choice of headwear.

Fans referenced the song’s lyrics, with one writing, “Ok ladies now let’s get in formation,” while another joked, “Y’all haters corny with that Illuminati mess.”

A fourth added humorously, “Not Melania getting into formation.”

In an interview with Fox, Melania shared her thoughts, saying, “I feel I was always myself the first time as well, but I think some people didn’t accept me for who I am.

“Maybe some people see me as just the wife of the president, but I stand on my own two feet. I’m independent and have my own thoughts.”

She concluded, “I have my own yes and no. I don’t always agree with what my husband is saying or doing. And that’s OK.”
