Barbra Streisand Declares She ‘Can’t Live In This Country’ If Trump Wins Again

Renowned singer and performer Barbra Streisand reiterated her intention to leave the country if Donald Trump wins the presidency again.

A vocal Democrat who actively supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, Streisand expressed her distaste for living in the nation under Trump’s presidency during an interview with Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show.”

When Colbert asked Streisand where she might go if she were to leave, she casually replied, “Probably England, I like England.”

This echoes a statement she made before the 2016 election, where she said she would consider moving to Canada or another country if Trump won.

Despite her previous promise, Streisand, like several other celebrities, chose to stay in the United States after the 2016 election.

Celebrities such as Amy Schumer, Bryan Cranston, and Cher made similar vows but continued to reside in the country following Trump’s election.

Streisand has frequently criticized Trump, calling him the “Liar in Chief” and the “Groper in Chief.” She has described Trump as “so stupid” and “so ill-informed,” expressing her profound regret over his “heartbreaking” election victory in 2016.

In her 2018 album “Walls,” Streisand continued her criticism of Trump.

The sharp lyrics of the song “Don’t Lie to Me” questioned the falsification of facts and the global repercussions of such actions.

In 2021, Streisand described Trump’s presidency as “four years in a black hole,” highlighting the impact of disinformation on people, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She emphasized the importance of honesty and called on leaders to be open and truthful, saying, “Tell people the truth; they can deal with it.”

Streisand’s public discourse on politics and societal issues is characterized by her unwavering candour.
