As the youngest child of former President Donald Trump, Barron maintains a low profile and is rarely seen in public. What is known about him is that he currently attends a prestigious business school in New York.
Born in 2006, the same year Donald and Melania tied the knot, Barron spent his early years in the opulent Trump Tower in Manhattan. Reports suggest that he had an entire floor to himself. Despite the luxury surrounding him, Barron did not have a traditional nanny. Melania personally took care of him, including preparing his breakfast and lunch every day.
When Barron was born, Donald Trump made an unusual announcement. Just 20 minutes after his son’s birth, the former president called into MSNBC’s Imus in the Morning, hosted by Don Imus, to share the news.
“Everyone’s perfect,” Trump, who was 59 at the time, told Imus. “I continue to stay young, right? I produce children; I stay young.” Melania’s website also announced that Barron weighed 8 1/2 pounds and measured 21 inches long.

Melania’s mother, Amalija Knavs, passed away at the age of 78 on January 10, 2024.
The family gathered in Palm Beach, Florida, to honor her memory on January 18. Amalija’s death was announced by Melania with heartfelt sadness.
“Amalija Knavs was a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth, and dignity,” Melania shared. “[She] was entirely devoted to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law. We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy.”
Reports suggest that Melania’s absence from the family Christmas photo was due to her caring for her mother during her final days.
Amalija and her husband, Viktor, became U.S. citizens in 2018 after living in the country on green cards sponsored by Melania. Throughout their lives, they remained a constant source of support for their daughters, providing them with a foundation for success. When the Trump family moved into the White House, Melania publicly thanked her parents during a speech in the Rose Garden.
“My parents worked very hard to ensure our family could not only live and prosper in America but also contribute to a nation that allows for people to arrive with a dream and make it a reality,” Melania said. “It is because of you that I am standing here today.”
Melania’s parents also played a pivotal role in Barron’s upbringing. According to Bojan Požar’s book, Melania Trump – The Inside Story: The Potential First Lady, Barron likely speaks Slovenian with his aunt, Ines, who also resides in New York. Ines reportedly handled paperwork for Barron to obtain Slovenian citizenship, a process that also extended to Amalija and Viktor.
During a recent campaign rally, Donald Trump expressed gratitude for his late mother-in-law.
“I want to thank her incredible, beautiful mother who passed away a few days ago,” Trump said. “She’s up there, way up there, looking down and so proud of us.”
Trump humorously credited Amalija for Barron’s impressive height. “That’s how he got so tall—he only ate her food,” Trump joked, adding that his son is a “special boy.”
Trump also shared an anecdote about Barron’s preference for soccer over basketball. “I said, ‘You’re going to be a basketball player.’ He said, ‘Well, I like soccer, Dad.’ At your height, I thought basketball was better, but you can’t talk them into everything.”
Photos of Barron, now towering over his family at 6 feet 8 inches, have stunned the public. Many people initially believed the images were altered.
