Creamy White Chocolate Mousse Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200g (7 oz) white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream (divided: 3/4 cup for whipping, 1/4 cup for melting the chocolate)
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

Melt the White Chocolate

Place the chopped white chocolate and 1/4 cup of heavy cream in a heatproof bowl. Use a double boiler or microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring until the mixture is smooth. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

Whip the Cream

In a chilled bowl, whip 3/4 cup of heavy cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Beat the Egg Whites

Combine the Ingredients
