Meghan Markle’s colleagues assigned her a harsh nickname, which has recently been revealed.
In 2022, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, entered into a partnership with Spotify for the launch of their podcast, Archetypes.
However, in less than a year after the podcast’s debut in 2023, the production company founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to sever ties with the platform.
Although the exact reason behind the podcast’s departure remained undisclosed, both Spotify and Archewell Audio issued a joint statement confirming that the decision was mutual.
Following Meghan’s exit from Archetypes, UK royal expert Neil Sean informed Fox News Digital that former staff members who had worked on her “ill-fated podcast” had secretly assigned her a covert nickname. Over the years, Meghan has frequently been the subject of misleading accusations circulating online.
“Ex-staff members… told me they took to calling her ‘Eva,’ using this as a discreet warning signal to indicate whether she was about to arrive or was already in a confrontational mood,” Sean revealed.
He explained that ‘Eva’ was not an affectionate nickname, but rather a reference to the 1955 comedy-drama Queen Bee, starring Joan Crawford, who was famously regarded as the ultimate diva. According to Sean, much like Crawford’s character, Eva Phillips, Meghan was perceived as someone who “stung” those around her.
“This was exactly how staff felt about working with [Meghan],” Sean claimed.
He further stated, “According to sources, she was completely unaware of any of this.”
Sean continued to elaborate on the alleged events that unfolded ‘behind the scenes’ during that period, adding: “There were numerous details that remained undisclosed.
“Behind closed doors, staff [felt] that Meghan was extremely difficult to work with due to her unpredictable mood swings and the fluctuating success of various aspects of her career. [They] believed she was rather demanding and authoritative, leading them to assign her that nickname… She exuded theatricality without even realizing it.”
Additionally, Sean disclosed that insiders reported Meghan insisted on dealing only with the highest-ranking individuals when communicating with staff.
“When that person was unavailable, they had to be reminded that they were interacting with a duchess and, more significantly, a member of the British royal family,” Sean was informed.
“This approach initially worked, as people were captivated by Meghan’s presence. However, their fascination quickly faded when her behavior became increasingly demanding… seemingly forgetting the struggles she endured during her early acting career.”
