Prince Harry Reaches Out to Kate with Heartfelt Note Following Wimbledon Appearance

The Duke of Sussex is reportedly eager to reconcile with the Prince and Princess of Wales as his 40th birthday approaches.

Princess Kate’s recent return to public engagements at the Wimbledon Men’s Final, accompanied by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and sister, Pippa Middleton, brought joy to many, not just royal fans.

This public appearance inspired Prince Harry to reach out to his sister-in-law. He sent her a handwritten note in hopes of mending their relationship.

According to Heat magazine, “Harry was watching Wimbledon and was thrilled to see Kate looking so radiant. He sent her a note to congratulate her and let her know how happy he was to see her out. He’s just so grateful that she’s on the mend and able to get back to her duties after taking time off – as is Meghan.”

Addressing the tension that has existed since Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working royals in 2020, the source added, “Harry can’t believe it ever got to this point – he genuinely thought that by now they’d have found a way to reconcile and he hates to think of it continuing.”

On July 14, Princess Kate, the patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, presented the trophy to Carlos Alcaraz, the winner of the Men’s Singles Final.

Princess Kate, 42, had been out of the spotlight following her cancer diagnosis earlier this year. However, she made a surprise appearance at Trooping the Colour with the rest of the Royal Family, marking her first formal engagement of the year.

In a statement issued last month, Kate mentioned she was making significant progress but was “not out of the woods yet” and had “good days and bad days” as she continued her therapy.

Harry is believed to want their issues resolved once and for all before his 40th birthday on September 15. However, since leaving royal duties, Harry and Meghan have been vocal critics of the monarchy, from a broadcast interview with Oprah Winfrey to their Netflix series ‘Harry & Meghan’.

Royal commentators have suggested that considerable effort is needed for the two brothers, Harry and Prince William, to reconcile. Former BBC correspondent Jennie Bond told Times Radio, “I think as far as William is concerned, Harry really doesn’t exist. William has enough pressure on his heart and his head, with his wife and her ongoing cancer treatment, his father, his job, and his kids. I don’t think he’s got any room in his soul to worry about his estranged brother… I think William has disowned Harry.”

Prince Harry last visited the UK in May to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral. However, he did not meet with any immediate family members.

The last time Harry and his father were together was in February when Harry flew to London following King Charles’ cancer revelation. He stayed for less than 25 hours before returning to America.

Shortly after, he traveled to Vancouver, Canada, for the ‘One Year to Go’ ceremony, which precedes the Winter Invictus Games 2025.
