Meghan Markle “Open to Reconciliation” with Royal Family, Says Expert

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stepped down from their senior royal roles in 2020 and moved to North America, they left behind a mixed legacy. While Meghan has revealed numerous troubling events from her time with the royal family, there have been moments when royal fans have turned against her. Recently, she was accused of trying to overshadow her former royal friend, Kate Middleton.

According to one royal expert, Prince Harry misses his old friends and longs for a permanent home in the UK. However, he is reportedly “petrified” of losing Meghan and some sources suggest he’s reluctant to reconcile with his family. There may be a chance for a royal reconciliation, as Meghan is said to be open to a sit-down meeting.

The Sussexes have been active in maintaining their public presence through interviews, book releases, a Netflix show, and podcasts, which seems contrary to their anticipated withdrawal from the spotlight.

Their desire for attention hasn’t gone unnoticed, with the couple even being parodied on the popular show South Park.

Since leaving the royal family, Harry and Meghan have rarely returned to the UK. They attended Queen Elizabeth’s funeral together, but Meghan remained in the US when Harry visited his ailing father, King Charles.

Tom Quinn, a royal expert, told the Mirror that the Prince and Princess of Wales were open to inviting Harry and Meghan, along with their children, to visit England. However, Meghan reportedly declined the invitation.

“There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK,” Quinn said in early April. “It feels like she’s not wanted.”

Harry has reportedly pleaded with Meghan to reconsider, expressing his desire for the entire family to visit the UK together rather than making solo trips. “Harry doesn’t want to keep making solo trips to the UK,” a source revealed. “He would prefer regular visits to see his family and build bridges, but there is so much going on behind the scenes that it just isn’t possible at the moment.”

Although they had planned a UK visit, Meghan began to reconsider when the timing and details became known. She is reportedly concerned about more than just her children’s safety; she fears being thrust back into a stressful situation where she feels unwelcome.

It remains uncertain if Meghan will accompany Harry on future trips to the UK, but a reunion with the royal family seems distant.

Despite years of tension, Meghan Markle is now reportedly “ready to sit down” with the royal family. Initially, she had been adamant about not reconciling, but sources suggest she has changed her stance. Some believe a positive relationship with the royals could help her sell her products.

Royal analyst Angela Levin spoke to GB News, stating that Meghan is “still genuinely hurt” by her treatment by the royal family, but is eager to discuss the issues. “She’s still genuinely hurt by how she was treated by the Royal Family – this is four years on,” Levin said. “And she wants to now at last sit down and talk through things.”

Levin also claimed that Meghan hopes the royal family will offer apologies and may seek their support in promoting her products. “She’s also trying to get Beatrice and Eugenie, who’s at the top of her list, to help her sell her jams,” Levin concluded. “She’s really hoping that King Charles might take one, too.”

Though Meghan once claimed she never wanted to return to Britain, this shift in her approach might change the dynamics of her relationship with the royal family.
