What Did Barron Trump Say to Joe Biden at His Father’s Inauguration? The Remark That Sparked an Online Debate

Is it fair to say that Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, stole the spotlight during his father’s inauguration? According to many observers, the answer is a resounding yes.

Now 18 years old, Barron began his freshman year at New York University’s Stern School of Business in September 2024. He is reportedly pursuing a degree in business and finance, following in the footsteps of his family’s legacy.

For the time being, Barron is residing at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan and commuting to campus for his classes. Speaking to Fox News in September 2024, his mother, Melania Trump, revealed, “It was [Barron’s] decision to come here. He wants to be in New York, study in New York, and live in his home.”

However, insiders suggest that Melania prefers to keep a close eye on her son.
“Living in a dorm in a college town isn’t in the cards for him right now,” an insider told People in December 2024, discussing Barron’s living arrangement. “Melania feels it’s better to stay close and be around him as much as possible.”

Body language expert Judy James reflected on Barron Trump’s demeanor during his father’s inauguration, noting that the once-reserved boy has matured significantly.
“He’s now acting as a ‘sweeper,’” James explained. “This means he tends to arrive and leave behind his parents, but instead of simply following them as he did when he was younger, he takes time to shake hands and exchange gracious words. This behavior defines Barron’s presence and status without competing with his father.”

James added, “He’s showing that he is becoming a force to be reckoned with in his own right. His height, combined with his growing confidence, gives him a princely air, presence-wise.”

During the inauguration, Barron caught everyone’s attention with a brief but notable interaction with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Lip reader Jeremy Freeman shared insights into the exchange. According to Freeman, Barron greeted Biden with a polite, “G’day to you, sir,” before turning to Harris and saying, “Ma’am, good day.” Biden responded warmly, saying, “It’s good to see you, man.”

Judy James also commented on Barron’s approach to Biden, stating, “He very confidently and charmingly bent to shake hands with Biden. While Biden’s face briefly seemed to fall, as if Barron had delivered some kind of subtle message, the truth was far less dramatic. Barron simply leaned over to greet Kamala Harris, and Biden’s expression was likely a natural response after finishing his greeting with Trump’s son.”

As expected, Barron’s polished behavior did not go unnoticed. Many people praised the young man for his well-mannered demeanor, applauding Melania Trump for doing an excellent job raising him.
